Many people experience shoulder problems at some point in life. The shoulder is the most commonly injured area of the body.
Here is a little "shoulder strength tip" I learned from a physical therapist years ago.
When you pick something up, use a very firm grip.
This strong grip causes more muscles to work around the shoulder and increases strength and safety.
If you need a visual, think about the person who grips your hand too hard when he shakes your hand. 🙂
That grip might be too hard for a handshake, but it is perfect for picking things up.
When you pick things up with a firm grip (whether it is a weight in the gym or a paint bucket in your garage), they will become easier to lift and you are less likely to develop aggravating shoulder tweaks.
