How the Magic Happens
Here's how it usually goes:
Day after day after day.....
Bill was a busy CPA working long hours while raising two kids with his wife.
One day, he noticed moving boxes and lifting his daughter were difficult. His friends told him "get used to it... old man!" (ha-ha).
At first, Bill laughed along but eventually his strength loss started to concern him.
Bill used to see weightlifters in his gym but he thought of them as (frankly) mostly meatheads. Plus, he didn't have two hours per day to workout.
Little by little, things got just a little harder for Bill. His life was overall very good, but this area... not so much.
Until one day....
Bill realized his daily activities required huge effort. He was then truly discouraged about himself! Every day felt the same in a bad way.
While waiting to pick up his daughter one day from dance class, Bill happened to read an online article about strength training.
Then his doctor mentioned the benefits of strength training the next day during his annual physical.
Bill thought, "this must be a sign that I finally need to try this out."
He started lifting weights and noticed an almost immediate strength improvement. He became excited.
He was not trying to win any bodybuilding or strongman contests but he could see real improvement in his physique.
He was not working out two hours per day...more like three hours per week.
The lifting made him feel better. He didn't know exactly what was happening...but his mood and sleep were much better.
He slowly began making better eating choices and drinking less wine.
And today....
Bill is a full-on "weights dude".
He looks forward to working out three times per week.
His confidence and quality of life are much better.
He feels better about himself and his physique. Lifting his daughter and boxes are now a breeze.
He also quietly wishes he would have started years ago.
The great news:
We live in an era where we know what to do about strength loss. Lifting weights is the answer. It is really that simple.
If you are working out regularly, pat yourself on the back.
If you aren't, please tell me if I can answer any questions.
