Just a quick note today to help you "Overcome the Office."
One Monday habit I developed while working in an office was grabbing some grocery snacks either on the way to work or on my lunch break.
These snacks might include apples, portion-controlled nuts and even some energy bars (energy bars may not be a perfect choice but I have definitely seen much worse being eaten in the office). 🙂
This is not a magic bullet, but easy access healthy snacks can make it easier to take a pass when Fred from Accounting yells "pizza in the kitchen!"
Since hunger makes it harder to avoid temptation, having these snacks handy can help you avoid temptation...and produce a Win for you. Yay, you!
The bottom line: On the weeks I followed this plan, I did better nutritionally than weeks that I didn't.
Having snacks handy can also help you avoid the dreaded "food coma" that comes from overindulging. And no one enjoys the food coma.
